Women In Business – Meeting The Challenge!

August 17 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Be inspired at this panel style workshop, which will showcase the very different personal journeys of four women, as they strive to balance motherhood and business.

The women will speak frankly about navigating the, at times debilitating, obstacles life has thrown at them, all the while remaining focussed on finding success, both at home and professionally.

There will be a light lunch provided. While this workshop is geared towards working mums, all are welcome to attend.

About the speakers

Alli Price

Our host and panellist is the founder of Motivating Mum and provides support and advice for mums in business, offering mentoring, social media workshops, brainstorming events and networking. With the help of her Associates, Alli also runs friendly and welcoming Businessmums’ Clubs in many locations around Oz and runs large events annually including the Brilliant Biz Mum Awards & Conference –and two charity events; Mummy Mentoring Festival, with donated mentoring sessions from biz women including Carmans, Tiger Tribe, Source Bottle, The Business Bakery and more, and MotherJumpers – mums jumping out of planes for charity. She is also a single mum with two littlies.

Denise Hall

Denise is one of the very few female Business Brokers in an industry which is still predominately old-school male. Denise got the chance to start one of her businesses when she was pregnant, which was very handy given she was taking on motherhood in a solo capacity and needed to be able to feed her child! All worked out OK well (thank goodness), resulting in not only the fundamentals but also lots of travel in the mix as well. Find out more at her website The Entrepreneurial Mother.

Fran Pratt

After being single and corporate, she started her family and business in her 40’s and is now is a mum and step-mum to a tribe of 5 ranging in ages from 27 to 3. Learning to fend for herself (in her business) and tend to a new family (in her personal life) at the same time brought joy and challenges aplenty. Fran loves and teaches all things sales and selling. Her passion is to show other women how to succeed in sales in their business and life through being on purpose and authentic. Find out more about Fran at Kiss to Sell.

Hannah Naylor

Hannah started her business Effortless Eco with a new born baby, a three year old, a negative bank balance and had just left an abusive relationship. Having no extra money to pay for help, Hannah was forced to design a website, write hundreds of product descriptions, and enlist the help from some great friends when she got stuck. Since then, Hannah has been able to convert her business from an online retail store, to an international manufacturing and import business specialising in environmentally friendly products.
